Perth has been chosen to test a driverless, ride-sharing service as part of a global trial of autonomous, electric-powered cars.
The RAC will be trialling Autonom driverless cars, designed by French company Navya, in an on-demand service with a smartphone app similar to ride-sharing giant Uber.
Perth is one of only three cities worldwide taking part in the trial, following an RAC test of a fully electric, automated shuttle bus in South Perth.
The cars are expected to be delivered in April 2018.
